Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 t soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 to 3 T milk
- 1/2 t vanilla
- 2 cups Southern Biscuit Flour
- 1 egg

Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and sugar
Add egg
Beat well
Add vanilla
Sift dry ingredients and add with milk
Mix well
Roll 1/8 inch thick and cut with floured cutters
Sprinkle with sugar if desired
Bake in oven 375 degrees about 12 minutes
Makes about 18 cookies
