Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup (250 mL) canned pure pumpkin
- 1/3 cup (85 mL) canola oil
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) honey
- 1 1/4 cups (310 mL) whole wheat or oat flour, or some of each
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) ground flax seed or oat bran
- 1 tsp (5 mL) cinnamon
- 1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda
- pinch salt

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin, canola oil and honey. Add the flour, flax seed, cinnamon, baking soda and salt, and stir just until combined.
3. Scrape the batter into an 8 x 8-inch pan that has been sprayed with nonstick spray, and bake for about 30 minutes, until golden and springy to the touch. Cool completely before cutting into squares appropriate for the size of your dog.
Store leftovers in an airtight container, or wrap well and freeze
