Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1) Stir together sugar, cocoa powder and cornstarch in small saucepan.
2) Add milk.
3) Cook and stir constantly over medium heat until sauce is thickened and bubbly.
4) Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
5)Remove from heat and pour into crockette.
6) Stir in vanilla.

Serve sauce warm over ice cream or angel food cake. Dip cubed pound cake or strawberries in sauce.

Refrigerate remaining sauce.
