Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, & chopped
  • 1/2 pound of ground pork
  • 6 oz. of fresh peeled & chopped water chestnuts or a 3 oz. canned water chestnuts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped scallions
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Shaoxing rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
  • 1 slightly beaten egg white
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups of homemade stock: chicken or vegetable stock or reduced-salt canned broth

Preparation

Step 1

Grind all ingredients together and fill wonton wrappers.

Fill led wrappers will freeze for 6 months.

Add to soup and simmer until heated through.
