  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 small green pepper, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 20 ounce can cannellini beans, drained
  • 1 20 ounce can kidney beans

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil, saute garlic, green pepper onion till brown.
Add chili/cumin/pepper flakes cook 1 minute.
Add oregano/tomato bring to boil simmer 5 minutes.
Add beans let stand several hours or refrigerate overnight before reheating to serve.
