Ingredients
- Combine in pan:
- 1/2 cup oleo
- 4 tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1 cup water
- Bring to a rapid boil and pour over:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- Add:
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Step 1
Mix well. Bake in a jelly roll pan for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Make icing 5 minutes before the cake is done.
Combine in saucepan:
1/2 cup oleo
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
Bring to a boil and add:
1 lb. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Beat well and frost immediately.
