Pot Roast - Grandma Judy Recipe 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 pkge stew meat
  • 4-5 potatoes cut up
  • carrots - if using regular carrots cut into small pieces otherwise use baby carrots
  • 1 onion cut up
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • Pot Roast Bag with flavoring (McCormicks)
  • Package of biscuits or biscuit recipe

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 350 degrees if cooking in oven - otherwise
Crock pot

In small bowl, combine pot roast flavoring from the bag set,
add water amount recommended on back of bag, soup and 1 can of water
mix well

In pot roast bag add all other ingredients
Add soup/flavoring mixture to bag/on top
Seal bag and pierce with 6=8 slits to let our steam

Place in large pan and bake for 2-1/2 hours

Or place everything in crock pot (if using this don't seal bag or slit but instead fold top over top of crock pot
If using crock pot - cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-6 hours

About 45 minutes before done, make up your biscuits and bake these so they are served hot with pot roast

Store leftovers in covered container in refrigerator
