Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb corned beef
  • 1 bottle beer
  • 1-2 cans of beef broth
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Pepper
  • Red potatoes
  • Carrots
  • Cabbage

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse corned beef well and put large pot / Dutch oven. Add beef broth and beer and then add water until covered. Add chopped onion, pepper and garlic.

Bring to boil and then reduce to simmer, cover and cook for about 2 - 2.5 hrs (meet should be cooked)

Add potatoes and carrots and simmer for 30 min

I cook cabbage in microwave for about 5 min. It has a fresher flavor than adding to pot.
