Ingredients
- 3 cups semolina flour (imrig)
- 3 sticks butter (use some of the butter in the bottom of the pan so it won't stick)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 packet yeast
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix altogether and put in pan and wait 1/2 hour for it to rest and then cook at 350 for 45 min.
Before cooking, put almonds on top and cut in squares or diamond shapes
2. Syrup
Cook the syrup first, so it will be cold. When the basbousa is cooked after taking out of the oven, pour the cold syrup on it.
3. Per Armen next time she will use 1 tablespoon baking powder instead of yeast.
