  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pound peanut butter

Step 1

First, prepare a buttered sheet pan for when fudge has turned. In a saucepan combine Pet (evaporated) milk, sugar, and water and bring to rolling boil. Add peanut butter and cook on high heat, stirring continuously. Test for when fudge has "turned" by dropping small spoonful of fudge into ice water. If fudge stays together, then it is ready to pour. Pour fudge on buttered sheet pan. After fudge cools, cut into serving squares.
