Old Fashion Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 eggs
• 2/3 cup Wesson oil
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400 F. Beat eggs with fork until well blended. Stir in oil, vanilla, and lemon rind. Blend in sugar until mixture thickens. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together into oil mixture. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Grease the bottom of a glass and dip in sugar. Gently press each cookie with the glass bottom, dipping glass in sugar for each cookie. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheet.
