Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup Hershey's® cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups cream (Pet), split 3/4 cream, 3/4 water
- 1/4 cup oleo or butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, OR 1/2 cup peanut butter

Step 1
Combine sugar, salt, cocoa, and cream in a big pot. Stir constantly until candy comes to a soft boil (234 on candy thermometer). Remove from heat. Add butter, vanilla, and pecans or peanut butter. Use a hand mixer to mix well. Pour into a buttered pan. When cool, cut into serving pieces.
