Reuben Sandwiches, Zingerman's Recipe
Copycat of famous Zingerman's New York Deli sandwich. I make these open faced. It's the sauce that makes these delicious
- Reuben Sandwiches
- Sliced Pastrami
- Carmelized Onions
- Swiss Cheese
- Kraft horseradish sauce in squirt bottle
- Heinz cocktail sauce
- Finely chopped onions
- Rye Bread, toasted

Toast rye bread. Place on foil covered pan. Make sauce using Kraft Horseradish Sauce in the squirt bottle, Heinz Cocktail Sauce and add finely chopped onions.
Carmelize additional onions. Set aside
Drain sauerkraut. Set aside
Deli sliced pastrami. Set aside
Swiss cheese slices.
Assembly: Rye bread. Top with sauce. Add Pastrami. Add carmelized onions. Add sauerkraut. Add mustard. Add swiss cheese. Bake in oven until cheese is melted. Service immediately.
