Ingredients
- 2 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 3/4 c sugar
- 1/4 c flour
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1/4 t nutmeg
- 1/4 t salt
- 8 med apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 2/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 t almond extract
- 3 T butter

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375
Place crust in floured pie plate.
Combine sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Gently toss apple slices in the sugar mixture.
Put apple slices into pie crust.
Sprinkle apples with almonds and almond extract.
Dot with small pieces of butter.
Roll out a second pie crust. Place on top of mixture. Seal and flute the edges.
Cut slits in several place on the top.
Bake 50-55 minutes or until filling bubbles and apples are tender.
