Ingredients

  • 1/3 C margarine
  • 1/3 C light corn syrup
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 C quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 C wheat germ
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 C dried fruit

Step 1

Melt margarine. In a large glass bowl, stir together margarine, syrup and brown sugar. Add oats, wheat germ and vanilla. Mix well.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
Add dried fruit (raisins, prunes, apricots, etc.) Another option is sunflower seeds. Pat into sprayed 8x8x2 pan. Slice into bars. Makes 9.
