MACARONI AND CHEESE BAKE

Ingredients
- 4 TBS butter
- 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 TBS corn starch (or flour)
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese and Velveeta (or regular cheddar)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 - 8oz. box elbow macaroni
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 1/2 cups milk

Step 1
Cook macaroni according to directions on box. Drain. Grease or spray 2 quart baking dish.
In a 1-quart sauce pan, over medium heat, melt 2 Tbs. butter and add bread crumbs. Toss and coat. Set aside.
In 2-quart sauce pan, over medium heat, melt remaining butter and add onion. Cook until tender. Blend in corn starch, mustard, pepper and salt. Stir in milk. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheeses.
Place macaroni in baking dish. Pour cheese mixture over macaroni. Stir. Sprinkle crumbs on top. Bake for 20 minutes in 350F oven.
