Ingredients
- 1 -3 pound chicken cut up
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, sliced paper thin'
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 can tomatoes
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 4 cloves
- 2 small bay leaves
- 1 cup raw rice
- 1 10oz 10oz pkg peas at room temperature
- 1 sweet red pepper, juliened

Preparation
Step 1
Dry the chicken well and saute until golden brown. Add onions, garlic, and green pepper and saute until onion is transparent. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper, paprika, cloves and bay leaves. Bring to a rolling boil and then lower heat to simmer. Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Add the rice, and cover and simmer for 20 minutes longer. Sprinkle with peas and red pepper and cook uncovered for 5 minutes.
