Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (rolled out fine)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3-4 Tbsp. water or milk
  • Filling:
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2-2 1/2 c. sliced apples
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • cinnamon
  • Whipped cream

Preparation

Step 1

Roll graham cracker crumbs sufficient to make 2 cups crumbs for small pie tin. Add 1/2 c. butter and 3-4 Tbsp. water or milk to hold mix together. Take out 1/2 c. crumbs for topping. Line the tin with thick or thin layer with the rest. Bake 10 mins. in 350 oven.

Fill with filling:
Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in skillet
Add 2 Tbsp. brown sugar and brown slightly. Add the sliced apples. Add the granulated sugar; cover and steam until tender. Touch of cinnamon may be added. Fill crust with apple mixture, sprinkle the reserved crumbs over all. Brown in oven a few mins. Serve with whipped cream.
