Ingredients
- Cooking Sauce (biggie):
- 1 lb. boneless lean steak (sirloin or flank)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. minced fresh ginger
- 1 clove minced garlic
- Mushrooms
- Onions
- Green pepper
- Broccoli and other vegetables of choice cut into bite-sized pieces
- Oil
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. beef broth
- Optional:
- Pea Pods
- Halved cherry tomatoes
- Rice or chinese noodles

Preparation
Step 1
Cut beef with grain into 1 1/2" strips. Combine the soy sauce, sugar, fresh ginger and minced garlic with steak strips and let stand, marinating for 15 mins.
Prepare vegetables of choice, cut into the bite-sized pieces. Place wok over high heat. When wok is hot, add meat mixture and stir-fry till browned (about 2 mins.). Repeat,using 1 Tbsp. mor oil and remain meat. Remove from wok and set aside.
Heat remaining 3 Tbsp. oil in wok. When oil is hot, add mushrooms and onion. Stir-fry 2 mins. Add green pepper and stir-fry 1 min. Add remaining vegetable, stir-frying as above. Return meat to wok and add the Cooking Sauce.
Cooking Sauce Preparation: put the cornstarch, soy sauce, sugar and beef broth in a container with tight-fitting lid. Shake and stir until completely blended and thickened.
Add pea pods and halved cherry tomatoes if desired. Serve over hot rice or Chinese crunchy noodles.
