Lazy Day Slow Cooker Spaghetti and Meatballs

By

Some days I just don't want to cook. This is basically a dump and pour recipe. You can make as hard or easy as you like. Bake some garlic bread and serve with a salad, if you wish.

Preparation

Step 1

Dump one jar of pasta sauce into the slow cooker. Dump in meatballs. Stir. Pour the other jar of sauce on top. Give it a quick stir. Add 8 ounces water to pasta sauce jars, shake to get the bits out and pour on top. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours. Cook spaghetti according to package directions for al dente, or less. Plate and serve with parmeson cheese.
Since there are just two of us, I cook 1/2 the spaghetti and serve with 1/2 of the meatball mixture. Later in the week I zap the meatball mixture and cook the remaining spaghetti.
OR
Note: I sometimes add the spaghetti back in the original warm cooking pot and add 1/4 cup of the pasta water and stir to incorporate. Add 2 cups of sauce and desired number of meatballs. Heat and stir until evenly distributed (this binds the pasta and sauce together, making the two become one). Stir in grated parmeson to taste.
Serve in a large family style pasta bowl!
Either way, ENJOY!
Note: After cooked, the yield for the sauce should be approximately 4 cups.
