Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 med. onions, chopped
- 4-5 med. potatoes, peeled (cut in small quarters)
- 5 cups water
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups half and half cream
- Salt
- White pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Saute onions in butter until limp. Cook potatoes in water until 1 1/2 cups of water remain and potatoes are tender, about 45 min. Add onions, consomme, broth, milk and cream. Stir well. Season to taste with salt and white pepper.
