60 Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 2/3 c. vegetable shortening
• 1 1/4 c. sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• Grated rind of 1 orange
• 2 Tbsp. orange juice

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add. Add orange rind and juice and mix to a smooth dough. Chill. Roll out on a slightly floured board and cut with a floured cookie cutter (or glass). Sprinkle with sugar and place on baking sheet. Bake 325 oven 12-15 mins.
