Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 med carrots, chopped(1 cup)
- 1 med onion, chopped(1 1/2 cup)
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage, both sweet and hot
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 3 28 oz tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil and butter in large saucepan over med heat. Saute carrots and onion. Stir in sausage and beef. Continue to cook until done. Drain.
Stir in wine and heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until wine is evaporated. Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano-heat again to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 45 min. Cook penne and add meat. Garnish with parsley and parmesan cheese.
