  • 1 1/2 c. butter or Crisco
  • Add:
  • 1/2 lb. almonds
  • 1/4 lb. citron and orange peel
  • 3 c. warm milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 pkgs. yeast
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1 tsp. cardamon
  • salt
  • Powdered sugar

Step 1

Beat 5 min. Let raise, then knead down and raise again. Form in loaves, let raise, then bake 1 hr., at 350. After taken out of pan, spread butter on top and soft on powdered sugar
