- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- Grated rind of 1 1/2 oranges
- 1/3 c. raw, unsalted sunflower seeds
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3 tsp. yeast

- 5/8 c. buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. bread flour
- 2 tsp. wheat germ
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- Grated rind of 1 orange
- 1/4 c. raw, unsalted sunflower seeds
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3 tsp. yeast

Step 1
Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting and press start.
After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
