Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chip pieces
- 1 Tbsp instant coffee crystals
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces (6 oz)

Lightly grease cookie sheet; set aside. In a large saucepan combine butter and the 1/2 cup chocolate pieces; heat and stir over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in the coffee crystals; cool 5m in. Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Stir into the coffee mixture. Stir in the 1 cup chocolate pieces.
Drop the dough by a rounded Tbsp onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake cookies in a 350 degree oven for 10 min or until the tops look dry. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 min. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.
