Ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 large egg white (beaten slightly)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. finely ground toasted almonds
- 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
1. In large bowl, beat together flour, sugar, butter, almond extract, and salt. Cover and chill @ least 4 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 350°.
3. On a floured surface, roll out dough to a 12 by 18 inch rectangle. Cut lengthwise into 1 inch wide strips. Then cut each strip into 4 pieces.
4. Brush top with beaten egg white. Let stand 20 minutes.
5. To make topping, combine all ingredients in small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over cookies.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are very light racks.
