Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups plain uncooked oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
- 1 ( 8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
- 1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped (almonds, walnuts or pecans)

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, ream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract. Mix in flour, oatmeal, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add remaining ingredients and mix together.
Roll dough into small balls (no larger than ping pong ball size) and place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 6 minutes,7 at most.
