Ingredients

  • 3 lbs spareribs, cut
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 2/3 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Spread ribs, meaty side up in in shallow pan. Brown at 425F for 20-30 minutes, drain fat. Combine rest of ingredients in saucepan. Stir until smooth. Cook over medium heat until thick and glossy, stirring constantly. Sprinkle salt and pepper over ribs, pour on 1/2 of sauce. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes. Turn ribs, cover with rest of sauce, bake 30 minutes more.
