Ingredients

  • 1/4 C each chopped green onions,
  • celery & green pepper
  • 1/4 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 TBL butter
  • 3/4 C stewed tomatoes, cut up
  • 1/4 C water
  • 2 TBL tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/8 tsp dried basil
  • 1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 LB uncooked med. shrimp,
  • peeled & deveined
  • 1/3 C cubed fully cooked HAM
  • hot cooked rice

Preparation

Step 1


In large saucepan, saute onions, celery, green pepper & garlic in butter
until tender.
stir in tomatoes, water, tomato paste, sugar, bouillon, basil & pepper
sauce
bring to boil
reduce heat
simmer, uncovered for 30 min, stirring occasionally

add shrimp & ham
cook & stir for 2-3 min or until shrimp turn pink

serve over rice
