Ingredients
- HOMEMADE BISCUIT MIX:
- 1/4-1/2 C Butter 91/2-1 stick)
- 1 7OZ cans diced green chiles, drained
- 1/2 LB chorizo sausage, browned & drained (optional)
- 1 8-oz pkg shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 8oz pkg shredded monterey jack cheese
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup biscuit mix
- 1 tsp chili powder or southwest seasoning
- 1/2-1 tsp freshly grd pepper, to taste
- 3 C flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 C shortening

Preparation
Step 1
preheat oven to 350
melt butter in 9X13? glass baking dish
layer chiles over butter
sprinkle w/ browned chorizo, if using
layer shredded cheeses over suasage
in separate bowl, mix together eggs, milk, biscuit mix, chili powder & pepper
pour over other ingredients in pan
bake @ 350 for 30-40 min or until golden brown
HOMEMADE BUSCUIT MIX:
stir together the dry ingredients
blend in shortening
store in fridge
SERVE WITH SOUTHWEST HASH BROWNS
