Strawberry Pretzel Surprise

Ingredients

• 2 cups pretzels, crushed
• 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 12 ounces Cool Whip
• 2 cups hot water
• 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 small boxes strawberry Jello
• 2 boxes (10 ounces) frozen strawberries

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and three tablespoons of sugar. Add crushed pretzels and press into 9 x 13 inch pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool.

Combine cream cheese, Cool Whip, and one cup of sugar. Spread over cooled pretzel crust.

Mix strawberry Jello with 2 cups hot water and let cool, but not set. Add frozen strawberries and pour over cream cheese layer.

Refrigerate overnight.
