Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2 cups flaked or shredded coconut
- 1 (11.5 oz) pkg milk chocolate pieces
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped almonds

Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl, stir together flour and baking soda; set aside
In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until well mixed, scraping side of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs, vanilla and almond extract until combined.
Beat in as much of the flour mixture as you can with the mixer. Using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour mixture. Stir in coconut, chocolate pieces and almonds.
Drop dough by a rounded tsp 2" apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8-10 min or until golden brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack; cool.
