Burgers with Pimento Cheese

Ingredients
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 oz pimento, minced & drained
- 1 1/2 T chopped green onions
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 1/8 t cayenne pepper
- pinch of black pepper
- 2 T mayonnaise
- 1 1/4 lbs ground beef

Preparation
Step 1
In bowl combine cheese, pimento, green onions ½ t salt, cayenne & black pepper. Stir in mayonnaise until incorporated. In bowl combine beef & 1 t salt. Press into patties. Cook burgers 1-2 minutes, then flip them. Spoon pimento cheese onto burgers; cook 1-2 minutes more, or until done. Serve with lettuce.
