Crockpot BBQ Chicken Tennessee Honey Sliders

Ingredients
- 1 cup Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Whiskey
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup finely chopped white (or yellow) onion
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Chalula hot sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1-2 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 12 Hawaiian style slider buns
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion (optional)
- 1/4 cup garlic sauce (optional)

Step 1
Place chicken in slow cooker on high. In a bowl combine Tennessee Honey Whiskey, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, garlic, onion, jalapeno, brown sugar, salt, pepper, cumin, crushed red pepper flakes, and hot sauce. Mix well. Add to chicken in slow cooker and toss to coat the chicken. Cook on high about 3 hours. Remove chicken pieces and chop (or shred) into small pieces and return to slow cooker. Cook another 2-4 hours on low. When ready to eat place scoop of chicken on bun.
