Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground hamburger
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tsp oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp basil
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup cooked, sliced mushrooms
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 - 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 2 - 6 oz cans tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1 can spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 lb Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 lb ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 package (1 lb) lasagna noodles

Preparation

Step 1

Cook first 13 ingredients in olive oil. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, spaghetti sauce and stir. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Lightly grease 13x9x2" dish. Layer dish with cooked lasagna, Mozzarella, Cheddar, ricotta, tomato sauce and Parmesan, then repeat.

Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350F.
