Ingredients

  • 2 cups old fashioned Oats
  • 1-1/4 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 tbls (1-1/2 sticks) butter, melted
  • 2 cups blackberries
  • 1/2 cup (heaping) strawberry preserves
  • 2 tsp all-purpose flour
  • Zest of one lemon
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon *

Heat oven to 350F. In large bowl, combine oats, 1-1/4 cups flour, salt, sugar and melted butter mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup oat mixture for topping. Press remaining oat mixture evenly onto bottom of 9” square baking pan that’s been lined with parchment. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. In medium bowl, combine berries, preserves, 2 teaspoon flour, lemon zest and juice and mix gently. Spread evenly over crust. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture, patting gently. Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
