Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 lb. thinly sliced smoked dried beef, cut into strips
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tea. celery salt
  • 1/4 tea. pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 - 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
  • Biscuits

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a skillet; add beef and onion. Cook and stir until onion is tender. Stir in flour, celery salt and pepper; add milk, stirring until well blended. Add chopped chilies; cook and stir until mixture thickens and boils.

To serve, split biscuits and spoon gravy over all.
