Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 T maple syrup
- 1 T brandy flavoring (optional)
- 6 slices thick Cinnamon Bread (Pepperidge Farm or Apple Danish Bread)
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 c half and half
- 1/4 t salt

Preparation
Step 1
The night before:
grease 8 individual pyrex dishes
Melt butter, add brown sugar. When smooth, add vanilla, maple syrup, and brandy. Stir and pour into dishes. Top sauce with slice of bread (you can add a little more to fill out the bowl.)
Mix eggs, half and half, and salt. Pour over dishes. Cover and refrigerate until morning.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 minutes. (Lay a piece of aluminum foil over the top so the bread will not get too hard.)
To serve simply turn upside down onto plate.
