Apple Pie Fillig

Ingredients

  • 6 cups cored, peeled and sliced apples
  • 3/4 cup apple cider or water
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons real maple syrup (or brown sugar (use more or less depending on how tart your apples are)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix apples, apple cider or water, cinnamon and maple syrup (or brown sugar.

Cook it on high in the slow cooker for about two hours.

Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.

You can refrigerate the filling in a jar or cool to room temperature and then freeze in sealable plastic bags.
