Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup bourbon
  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1-1/2 tsp. butter

Step 1

Cream butter. Gradually add powder sugar, alternating with the bourbon. Beat till thick and smooth.

Shape measuring ½ teaspoons of mixture in small balls, using sugar on hands if necessary to keep from sticking. Press a pecan half on each side of ball and chill.

Melt chocolate with 1-1/2 tsp. butter in top of double-boiler. Dip one end of candy in the mixture and then place on wax-paper covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm.

Makes about 2-1/2 lbs.
