Ingredients
- 7 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup half and half
- 4 oz crumbled bleu cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 3 tablespoons chopped smoked almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook the bacon in a skillet until almost crisp; drain. Add the garlic; and cook for no longer than 2 minutes.
Beat the cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add the half and half and blend well. Stir in the bacon mixture, bleu cheese, and chives. Spoon into an ovenproof serving dish and cover with foil.
Bake for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Uncover and sprinkle with the almonds. Serve with sliced apples, toasted pita crisps, French bread baguette slices, or crackers.
