Mama's Baked Custard

Ingredients

• 4 c Milk
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 t vanilla
• 1/2 c sugar
• 1/4 t salt
• 1/8 t nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Scald Milk, allow to cool. Beat eggs slightly, add sugar, salt and nutmeg to eggs. add skalded milk slowly, stirring constantly. Pour into custard cups which have been rinsed with cold water

Put cups into pan of water in a moderate oven, bake until firm.
