Ingredients
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 3 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 large jalapeño pepper chopped
- 2 Tbs finely chopped garlic
- 1 onion coarsely chopped
- 1 large tomato large cubed
- Cilantro
- Shredded Monterey jack cheese or queso blanco
- 1 avocado cubed
- 3 corn tortillas sliced in 1/8 slices
- Lime wedges
- Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Place chicken broth in large pan and place on medium heat
Sauté chicken breasts in oil until lightly brown. Once cooked, removed from fire and cut in cubes and put in broth.
In oil from cooked chicken, fry the sliced corn tortillas until crispy (like tortilla chips) and remove for later.
Put chopped jalapeno pepper and garlic in broth.
Put onion, tomato in broth.
To serve soup, place shredded cheese and avocado cubes in bottom of bowl and ladle in soup. Top with tortilla strips and cilantro and serve with a lime wedge.
