Black Bean Soup for Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (16 oz.) BLACK BEANS, soaked overnight and drained
  • 3 14 oz. cans (or one 32 oz. container) CHICKEN BROTH
  • 1 LARGE ONION, chopped
  • 1 LARGE HAM HOCK
  • 2 tsp RED WINE VINEGAR
  • 1 LARGE RED PEPPER, chopped
  • 2 TBS garlic, minced
  • 1 TBS CUMIN
  • 1 tsp CHILI POWDER
  • SALT and PEPPER, to taste

Preparation

Step 1



Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover with lid. Cook on HIGH for 10 hours.
