Ingredients

- 1/2 c butter
- 1 c flour
- 2 tbsp water
- Part 2
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 c water
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 c flour
- 3 eggs
- Glaze
- 1 1/2 confectionery sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1-2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp almond extract

Step 1
Heat oven to 350
Cut 1/2 c butter into 1 c flour and sprinkle with 2 tbsp water. Mix wiwth fork and round into ball. Divide in two parts. On ungreased baking sheet pat each part into strip 12x4; place about 3 inches apart.
In medium sauce pan, heat 1/2 c butter , 1 c water-bring to rolling boil. Remove from heat and quickly stir in flour and almond extract. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 min until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat; add eggs one at a time until mixture is smooth; divide into halves and spread evenly over strips covering completely.
Bake 45-60 min or until top is crisp and golden. Cool, frost and sprinkle with nuts and cherries
