Kathy's Garlic Toasts

By

I had 1/2 of a baguette from appetizers so I thought I would come up with a bread for an Italian meal for later in the week. It's a little different than splitting the loaf lengthwise.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix all the ingredients with butter except the parmeson cheese
Cut baguette into slices between 1 to 1/2 inch thick. The fresher the bread the more it will shrink.
Butter one side of the baguette slices; place slices on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Lightly sprinkle buttered slices with parmeson cheese (if desired).
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown around the edges.
If you have leftover butter, keep and reuse in other dishes or freeze.
