Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup shortening
• 2/3 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 3 1/2 cups flour
• 2 pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375. Mix thoroughly shortening, better, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 " apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
