Chicken Parmesan Casserole

- 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked penne pasta
- 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 (32 ounce) jars marinara sauce
- chopped basil for garnish (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Directions:
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Rinse and drain the pasta in a colander.
In a large bowl combine cooked pasta, cooked chicken, Italian seasoning, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese and marinara sauce. Mix until combined.
Spread the pasta in a 9x13 inch casserole dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and uncover and top with remaining cheeses. Bake for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through. Garnish with chopped basil if desired.
You can use a store-bought rotisserie chicken for this recipe. It is already cooked and makes this a quick and easy meal!
