Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegan cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 12 dates (pitted and halved)
  • 24 shelled walnuts
  • 3 orange peels
  • 1 quart water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1

For the Soaked Walnuts: in a large bowl, add the walnuts and 3 orange peels. Pour room temperature water over the walnuts to cover. Add salt and stir to combine and dissolve. Let soak for an hour.
In a small bowl, add the vegan cream cheese, cinnamon, and honey. Mix together. Using a piping bag fill the date halves with the cream cheese mixture.
Place one soaked walnut into each date half.
Tips:
- Keep on hand for a quick breakfast or an after-dinner treat!
- Use regular cream cheese if desired.
